From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A circuit party is a dance and social event for gay men that extends through an entire night and into the following day. Circuit parties are held along with a number of affiliated events in the days leading up to and following the main event. The first circuit parties were tea dances and theme parties held on Fire Island, which came to resemble underground rave parties. However, unlike raves, circuit parties are highly publicized and professionally produced, and tend to attract people from a wider age range and a broader geographic area.
