I have just started this article. If you want to help improve it, we need reliable sources, such as reviews newspapers for the following information

style: this is a strange style of picture book, not particularly aimed at children, and designed to illustrate Eckhart's philosophical concepts.
plot summary
philosophical themes
reception: sales, reviews, etc.
how the book came into being, why Tolle and McDonnell decided to collaborate, where the idea came from etc.

Category: picture book[edit]

There is no category for "picture pook"; there is only a category for "children's picture book". This is not a book aimed at children. Should I create a new category? ANd how do I do it? Gregcaletta (talk) 08:34, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Remove Off Topic Content[edit]

McDonnell has explained the origins of the book: "a photo of Eckhart with his new dog, Maya gave me the impetus to pursue this project. I thought that combining my art with Eckhart’s teachings on how animals and nature can bring us into the present moment could be a good entry point ‘into the Now’ for some people."^[1]
McDonnell also spoke to PBS news about the book:
Like millions of other people, I was immediately taken with his work. He really gets to the basics. With a cartoonist you only have three panels. You have to get to the point, and I felt like he really got to the core of, you know, spirituality—spirituality and just being in the present moment. So, you know, he really influenced my work and influenced my life. ...
In Eckhart’s work he talks a lot about nature bringing us to stillness. You know, Mutts is about stopping and smelling the roses and how our dog and cat can help us do that, so I mean I felt an instant connection with his work. My wife and I went through a lot of his recordings and his books, and anytime he mentioned a dog or a cat we took out that little quote, and we paired them up best we could with some of my comics.^[2]
